I got my cast off yesterday and I instantly noticed a visible pea sized lump on the left hand side of my bridge. It's very hard and aches very slightly if I press on it. The surgeon said that it was swelling but I wanted a second opinion on it. It's not discoloured at all, it's literally just a visible pea sized lump and it's bothering me because its giving the illusion that I have a slight hump on my nose because of it. Is it just swelling or could it be something else? when should it go down?

Hello,
I am sorry for your loss of nasal sill that seems so important in some situations like yours.
I know that not many plastic surgeons know how to reconstruct it.
I am sure there are ways to do it and you need to hunt for some clearer one.
We do it in Dubai.
Its done under short GA as a day...
Hopefully these minor irregularities will dissipate with time; often it takes 6 months to 12 months after your surgery to see the final results. If they still persist, you may want to see your surgeon, who did a nice job on your nose from the angle I can see, if there is a refinement that can ...
Most of the problem is due to the tip cartilage.
You are a great candidate for a "preservation rhinoplasty" which modifies the bridge very slightly resulting in very natural look and can reduce and support the tip efficiently and safely.
