When will I fit into my clothes again? (Photo)

Question

I had Smartlipo 12 days ago and I am healing well, and the bruises are disappearing nicely, my only concern is , although I don't visably look swollen, I can't fit into any of my clothes, other than loose ones. Will I reduce in size and be able to fit my clothe again, and when should I expect to be able to do this? Thank you.

Thanks for your question!  Unfortunately, there is no good answer.  Everyone heals at a different rate.  Generally speaking, the majority of your swelling should be gone in 3-6 months.  Good luck!

You are visibly very bruised and swollen. Everyone recovers at their own pace. You clothes will fit when the swelling resolves. It may take a few weeks to months.

Most of my patients in just a few days can return to their normal clothes. everyone is different though. no one can predict the rate your swelling will resolve. however, it will definitely go away and you just have to be patient. best of luckdavid berman md
