I had an augmentation 10 weeks ago 330cc textured, teardrop unders(I previously had a mastopexy 1 year ago). It feels like I have too much side boob and it feels like I have a tennis ball in each armpit when I bring my arms together. My cleavage and the surrounding area on both breasts feels empty especially on the left side(I’m left handed). When I lean forward my breasts look empty. I’ve heard of drop and fluff, can you tell me are my breasts likely to fill anymore at the front and less at the sides?
Answer: 10 wk post and too much side boob. Are my breasts likely to fill anymore at the front and less at the sides? (photo) Thank you for your question and photographs, and it appears that you will have a very nice result. After placement of implants, the appearance of the breasts will change dramatically over the next several months, as the implants drop, and the overlying tissue stretches to accommodate the extra volume. In your case the swelling from surgery is flattening your implants and holding them high on your chest, while making them appear wide. As this swelling resolves, the volume within the implant will redistribute towards the lower portion of your breast achieving a more natural appearance, and filling your bra cup more, while improving your sideboob complaints. I know waiting is difficult, but judge your results at 4-6 months after surgery as most of your breast changes should have occurred by then. Hope this helps.

Answer: BA results Dear mallory72,I understand your concern and it is quite normal to be concerned about the outcome following a breast augmentation surgery. However, you are still in the very early stages of the healing process.Your will need to be patient at this moment and follow what your surgeon has instructed you to do post operatively. At the early stage of the healing process, the tissues around the implants are still swollen. Once the swelling subsides and the implants drop to their final position, you will be able to see the final result of your breast augmentation surgery.Daniel Barrett, MD Certified, American Board of Plastic Surgery Member, American Society of Plastic Surgery Member, American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery

Answer: Your anchor procedure results are unfortunate but typical Unfortunately, you had an anchor procedure done, which did not significantly lift your breasts high enough on the chest wall or medial enough. The technique I recommend is explantation using The Bellesoma Method. The implants are removed, your breast tissue is reshaped creating upper pole fullness, elevate higher on the chest wall and more medial to increase your cleavage. Vertical scars are avoided, nipple sensation and the ability to breast feed are maintained, if not injured during your previous surgery. At the same time or later, fat transfers can be performed if additional volume is desired.Best Wishes,Gary Horndeski, M.D.

Answer: How much will my breasts change after my augmentation Hi and thank you for the question. The results of a breast augmentation tend to evolve for about 3-12 months depending on the nature of your breast tissue, skin and the implants used. Implants tend to drop down over time, but they don't tend to move closer together. Textured implants also tend to move less than smooth implants. That being said, I would suggest that you watch and wait to see what happens for the next 4 months or so. I would see your surgeon for a 6 month postop check. If you have not achieved the results you want, that would be a good time to go over your concerns and options. Best of luck. Dr West
