First time I have had Botox not pleasent. I had it for neck, eyes, and forehead. Is this normal?

First time i have had botox not pleasent , had it for neck and eyes forehead. Taste in my mouth yuk. Feel bit woozy and tired.Neck still a bit uncomfortable at the sites. Was going to teach a dance class but cancelled. Is this normal am relaxing now.

I am sorry that you are initial reaction to Botox has not been a positive one.  It is not clear why you have an unusual taste in your mouth.  I do feel that the symptoms you are noticing will resolve.   It is still possible to have a nice outcome from your Botox injections.  Hang in there.

Thank you for your question. I am not sure why you have a bad taste in your mouth? It is normal to feel the injection site where the needle entered your skin. I always advise my patients not to exercise the day they get Botox.  If you have concerns contact your injector to discuss.Best,

I have found that many first time botox patients experience unusual symptoms due to a little anxiety about potential side effects. Botox is really safe. These symptoms will fade and usually only occur the first time. Discomfort at the sites of injection is normal. Don't worry but call your injector for reassurance if you remain concerned. Good luck.
