1 months post op Lip lift (bull horn), the sutures are still hard and numb. Any suggestions?

The sutures are still hard and numbed-especially in the middle... And when I smile it's doesn't show all my teeth as before.. Is that ll go after some time or its final result.. Is that normal healing process with lip lift or dr. did something wrong? By the way I don't know which teghnique dr used: muscle hemming or skin...tried to contact him, no reply yet...

Hi margusha20071,You will have to wait for a few more months for the scar to soften and for the numbness to improve. You smile will also most likely improve as your recovery progresses. With regards to your concern about the outer vermillion border not being lifted enough, it is actually natural for bullhorn technique to lift the middle part of the lip more than the sides. Removing more skin or more muscle in order to lift the outer vermillion border can also be done, but it may affect the position of your alar rim.An alternative technique will be the direct vermillion lift.
