I'm almost 3 wks post op after breast augmentation and tummy tuck. Can screaming possibly mess up my muscle repair. I remember holding pressure on my stomach because it was hurting as I was screaming. I regret doing so But what's done is done. Just wanting to know if 3 weeks out I could have messed something up. I've been healing faster than dr predicted standing straight drains were taken out almost immediately everything has gone smoothly until now I feel extremely sore after what happened
Answer: Muscle plication? Thank you so much for this question. It is quite hard to "rupture" your sutures, but not impossible. The repair is generally very secure as it is done to resist those very strong "six pack" muscles. I suggest you have your plastic surgeon examined your tummy for piece of mind. Answer: Mommy makeover recovery It is unlikely that screaming did any damage to your sutures. However since you are experiencing a change in condition it is best to contact your surgeon for advice. He/She is most familiar with the details of your surgery and how you've been progressing through recovery.

Answer: Mommy makeover and screaming It would be a rare event for a scream to rupture your sutures 3 weeks after the procedure, but if you are still having pain now, I would see your doctor to check it and if screaming hurts don't do it yet. You still have a lot of healing to go.

Answer: Breaking Sutures after Tummy Tuck Although it probably feels like you tore sutures, it would be very unlikely that any type of body function would tear the sutures holding your muscles together.

It is unlikely that screaming caused any of your muscle repair sutures to fail, especially if you have not seen any significant change in appearance to your stomach. If you have a suspicion that something is wrong, see your surgeon for an in-person evaluation.
