Would 2% Minoxidil on alternate days to the 5% treatment still be effective? Thanks

Question

I have been using 5% minoxidil foam for women for two years and it has been very effective. Would it reverse the effects or have any detrimental effect if I used the 2% (cheaper) minoxidil on alternate days to the 5% treatment? Thanks

In my opinion, is difficult to determine if 2% substitution on Alternate days will affect your results. This depends on ( amongst others)  the type of hair loss, stage of hair loss, density of hair , genetic predisposition and use of a micro needle roller. I prefer you use less ( half dose) of the 5% on the alternate days than the 2% to save funds. Keep an eye on the shedding and if you notice a difference restart your old regiment.

You can alternate between 2 and 5% minoxidil if that is what you want to do, but why are you doing this is a question that is worth discussing with your doctor
