I have been searching options to fix my forehead but I still haven't found one. I have protruding bones (or perhaps dents?) on my forehead and it is very noticeable under light or even when I look sideways. It is really bothering me and I have been saving money since I do not have a lot. What are my options?
Answer: CT scan for "lumps" on forehead. You need a CT scan which will tell me if this is a bone growth or a thickening which dictates how to remove or file down, etc.

Answer: Protruding bumps vs unilateral bumps Bilateral protruding bumps tend to be normal contour changes to the shape of the skull. Unilateral changes tend to be osteomas which are benign bony tumors of the head. Protruding bumps can be reshaped by burring down the appearance through a small incision and an endoscope.

Answer: Hope this helps! "Based on your description and the photo you provided, it's possible that these protrusions could be osteomas, which are benign bone deposits that form on the existing skull. To accurately diagnose this, a thorough examination is necessary. In some cases, a CT scan may also be recommended for a more detailed assessment. If indeed these are osteomas, there are effective solutions available. Removal of these protrusions can often be accomplished with hidden incisions placed within the hair or along the hairline. Advanced techniques, such as the use of endoscopes, may be employed to assist in the procedure. Depending on your insurance coverage, the removal of these osteomas might be eligible for insurance coverage. It's advisable to inquire with your insurance provider to understand your options. If you're seeking a knowledgeable partner for your aesthetic journey, connecting with my practice offers you access to transformative results and supportive care. Answer: Protruding bumps on the forehead Based on your photo and description, it is possible that these are osteoma (benign deposits of bone on top of your existing skull). This can be confirmed with an examination. A CT scan may also be necessary.Depending on your insurance plan and coverage, removal of these osteomas may be an insurance-covered procedure. The removal of these would be relatively straightforward with hidden incisions within the hair or hairline and possibly with the assistance of endoscopes. A facial plastic surgeon should be able to help you.Michael M. Kim, MD

Answer: Noticeable forehead bump If you have relatively identical bumps at the upper forehead (you mentioned two bumps), then I suspect this may reflect the bony curvature of your skull bone. If this is the case, then the most simple and satisfying treatment may be to use fillers to smooth out the contour of your forehead. If you have asymmetric bumps, then these may reflect bony thickening called osteomas. These benign growths can be addressed by shaving down the extra bone. I would recommend a thorough evaluation with a facial plastic surgeon.
