Neck tightness fluctuates depending on location. What causes this? Lower face and neck lift 8 months post op.

This is a odd question but I need to have doctors from all over read this. I had a lower Face and neck lift 8mo ago.Still have neck tightness (yes, I know it can take a long time for nerves, etc. to heal). Looks great. No pain. All good. I am in So. Cal. When we visit AZ, I notice a HUGE improvement in the tightness and; strangled feeling. Has anybody heard of this? How do I reproduce this in CA? Can't move to AZ quite yet. We've had hi temps too so I don't think that's it.
