However, based on your description, if there’s no swelling, warmth, fluctuation, discharge from the incision, or significant pain, then it's unlikely that you have an active implant infection. What you’re experiencing may be a skin-related issue, such as folliculitis, especially since the implant site itself seems calm.
As for your second question: yes, chin implant removal and sliding genioplasty can generally be performed in the same surgical session. However, it's very important that there is no sign of infection at the time of surgery. If there’s any suspicion of infection, your surgeon may recommend staging the procedures, with implant removal done first, followed by genioplasty once the area has healed completely.
Also keep in mind that when the implant is removed, you may lose some of the volume or projection it provided. Sliding genioplasty can help restore this, but the final aesthetic may be slightly different from the augmented shape the implant gave.
