My PS is out of state & I cant reach them, my TT scar is 2wks old & is starting to peel/scab, is this normal? Is there anythingI should be putting on it to keep hydrated/moisturised? Thank you

Hello dear!! Thanks for the question and provided information as well.  These symptom is common after an abdominoplasty. If the pain persists after one week, I suggest you to follow up close with your plastic surgeon. Good luck :)

Thank you for your question and the photos. This is very normal, it is because of the skin stretching combined with the swelling thst causes tension of the upper skkn layer. It sometimes even opens up a bit and creates a scab ... all this is part of the process, no worries. Best of luck

Shannon,The short answer is to wait until your scar is completely healed (usually one year).  You may find thta the scar is flat and no longer red around 6-8 months so this would be a safe time for you as well.Good luckDr T

I'm sorry to hear you were ill. It's not possible to say whether or not your stitches were torn as a result of vomiting. I encourage you to follow up with your surgeon for an evaluation. Until that time rest the area.
