I hAd a full abdominoplasty 11 years go. It has always let very tight, and "dips in" at the suture area above my pubis, which has since given me a FUPA. I have never stopped feeling like he front of my lower abdomen is a corset. It feels hard and u have no feeling up through my belly button. I assume I have a lot of scar tissue by now. Are there surgeries that I can have to remove some of the scar tissue and feel "released" in his area, without losing more feeling?

Answer: Scars Dear Versatile23164, scar prevention begins in the OR during the surgery when I meticulously close wounds in multiple layers in order to reduce tension and reduce scars width. I tape my incisions during the early postoperative period to reduce micromotions of the tissues so the incision can heal earlier. I also use compression garments and later Biocorneum gel. Answer: Candidacy for tummy tuck revision? Hi and welcome to our forum! Without photos, I can only comment in generalities. If you demonstrate a FUPA (full upper pubic area), it may be composed of fatty tissue or scar. Fatty tissue will respond favorably to a liposuction procedure, while scar tissue requires surgical removal. Numbness is a known complication of abdominoplasty and at 11 years post surgery, it appears to be permanent in nature. You may wish to consider a consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon and discuss the various correction possibilities.
