I know I'll need a tummy tuck but is there any other procedure you would suggest? Also, let me know what recovery would be like, I have a desk job from home. I've had 2 c sections I am 5'2 and weigh 185lbs.
Answer: Is there any other procedure you would suggest, besides a TT? Its seems like you lost a lot of weight. Congratulations!! You should not waist money on anything other then a TT. Nothing else is going to help. Recovery will not be that bad, and pain is minimal…… especially if you don’t do too much lipo. If you have a desk job at home, you can be back to work before two weeks for sure! Best of luck, Dr. Miguel Mota

Answer: Tummy Tuck Candidate Thanks for your question. From your pictures, you seem to be a good candidate for a tummy tuck. However, you need to keep in mind that for a tummy tuck you need to meet your plastic surgeon's Body Mass Index (BMI) requirements. At my practice, the max BMI limit for a Tummy Tuck is 33. The BMI is based on your height and weight. Going by the height and weight you provided, you are slightly over 33 and would need to bring down your BMI. Hope this helps. Please always consult with a board certified plastic surgeon. Take Care, Moises Salama MD, board certified plastic surgeon

Answer: Tummy Tuck Thank you for your question and photos! You would be a good candidate for a tummy tuck with liposuction. A tummy tuck will address excess skin & repair of the abdominal muscle. The abdominal wall can be weakened after pregnancy and (or) significant weight gain & loss. By repairing the muscle, not only does the appearance of your abdominal area improve, but your core strength as well. The repair of the muscle will cinch your waist like an inner corset, which will accentuate your curves. Liposuction will remove excess fat from unwanted areas with some skin retraction. If you can take 2 weeks off that would ideal. That being said, we do have people that return to desk jobs at 1 week post op. Your expectations and health will dictate the best procedure(s) for you. I suggest a consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon to go over the options that best address your goals. Best of luck! Answer: I need a tummy tuck, but is there any other procedure you would suggest? As far as other suggested procedures, it is important to have a consultation and to discuss areas where you see room for improvement. We could then come up with a surgical plan based on your desires. I don't like looking at a picture and saying what someone "needs" because beauty comes in so many packages.

Answer: What would you like to improve? It really depends on what you’d like to improve. For example, if you’d like to target your lower back as well, a circumferential tummy tuck can be performed. This would tighten the loose skin and remove excess fat on your lower back, at the same time targeting your front. Liposuction may also be performed at the same time to enhance your results. Before consulting with a surgeon, please determine what you’d like to improve. That way, your surgeon will be able to better understand your goals.
