Ask your OB-GYN surgeon what their preferred technique is and why. A laparoscopic procedure will not change your result significantly, and the small incisions will gradually fade with time, without affecting your tummy tuck scar.

If an open procedure is required, request that the previous incision be used and that meticulous attention to detail be taken upon closure of the skin.

Gynecologists typically use a low incision which conforms to your abdominoplasty scar. In my experience, gynecologists usually obtain very good scars with this incision. Your muscle will have to be divided, but this will be done very low and should not interfere with your previous repair.
