Scar revision on my cheek 4 times - everytime resulted in widened scar. What are my treatment options? Laser, excision? (Photo)

Hello! I had scar on cheek for which i underwent excision 4 times, everytime internal sutures(vicryl) spitted out postop in 3 surgeries, last sugery was performed using w plasty but only single layer of prolene intertupted suture was used which was removed after 20 days because surgeon told either you have tendency, allergy or grannuloma, even last revision also caused widened scar. I believe it was tension which caused widening.Its been 4 months postop, what are my treatment options?

Answer: Injection therapy along with laser treatment and possible scar revision can all help improve appearance of the scar.

Hello, thanks for your question. It may be that what you are describing is an area of scar tissue, or something such as an inclusion cyst. This may be addressed surgically, but would require a full assessment and face to face consultation in order to determine this.
