Cut the muscle vs not cutting for bullhorn upper lip lift, which is the better way to get it done?

Some Dr's prefer to cut the muscle and some do not for a bullhorn upper lip lift. I have been looking into getting an upper lip lift. Nervous about scarring but also best procedure type. Seems some doctors prefer to cut the muscle and some do not. This is very confusing. Is there a reason why? Pros and Cons? I'm not sure if I should avoid a certain method. Thanks.

Decision of how much to resect and whether to include muscle or skin only, will depend of your clinical findings. If there is an issue with limited teeth show when patient smiles, muscle rersesection is necessery. Hope this helps. Good luick.
