I've always had dark circles under my eyes but I've noticed them getting more pronounced as I get closer to 30 (I'm 27 now). I've just started researching options and I'm open to any and all suggestions.
Answer: Under eye circles Thank you for the photos and your question. “Dark circles” are often caused by multiple factors and the best treatment depends on the underlying cause: 1. Anatomy - a physical depression under the eye in the tear trough 2. Vascular - thin skin and veins under the eyes causing a blue/purple hue 3. Hyperpigmentation - a discoloration of the skin due to melanin 4. Aging- volume loss and fine lines and wrinkles 5. Inflammation - due to allergies and eczema Based on your photo, you have a combination of anatomy, a deep trough and some volume loss, and vascular - visible veins. Fat grafting is a great option to restore volume for under eye hollowing. The best way to treat the prominent vessels is with a vascular laser. However, the best way to determine the most optimal procedure for you is to schedule an in-person consultation with an experienced facial plastic surgeon so they can analyze your unique anatomy.

Answer: Treatment Options for Dark Circles Under the Eyes Thank you for reaching out with your concerns about dark circles under your eyes. This is a common issue that many people face, and there are several treatment options available that can help improve their appearance. Here are some suggestions: Topical Treatments: Consider using topical creams that contain ingredients like vitamin C, retinol, or hyaluronic acid. These can help brighten the skin and improve collagen production. Chemical Peels: Light chemical peels can help to exfoliate the skin and reduce pigmentation, improving the appearance of dark circles. Dermal Fillers: If your dark circles are due to volume loss under the eyes, dermal fillers can help to plump the area and reduce shadowing. Laser Therapy: Laser treatments can target pigmentation and stimulate collagen production, which may improve the appearance of dark circles. Microneedling: This procedure can improve skin texture and tone by promoting collagen production. Lifestyle Modifications: Ensure you are getting enough sleep, staying hydrated, and managing stress, as these factors can contribute to the appearance of dark circles. Consult a Specialist: It's important to consult with a dermatologist or cosmetic specialist who can assess the underlying causes of your dark circles and recommend the most appropriate treatment for your specific situation. Each person's skin is unique, so a personalized approach will yield the best results. I hope you find these suggestions helpful as you explore your options. Best regards,

Answer: Dermal filler Would need to look at a bigger profile of your face to see if you have atrophy of your skin around the cheek before I consider injection of the under eye area. We need to correct surrounding anatomy before treating the target area

Answer: Under eye concerns From the submitted photo it appears you may be a candidate for under eye filler. This will help add volume, making the under eye shadows less noticeable. I encourage you to visit with an experienced injector for an evaluation. Often times filler under the eyes is best paired with some cheek filler to help keep the facial contours harmonious.
