Breasts don't look even when lying down. Is this normal? (Photo)

Thanks for your question! You may have a tighter pocket on the one side and/or a little bit of lateral displacement. It isn't uncommon for slight asymmetries between breasts. Since we spend the majority of our time in an upright position, that's what I would focus on. Best of luck!

This is fairly normal. It's possible that the one side moves a little more to the lateral aspect of the pocket when you are lying down.

One pocket is definitely too big laterally. Whether or not capsular contracture exists on the other side would require an in person examination.

Thank you for sharing your question and photographs. you are likely correct on both counts, but as your left softens further you should see some improvement in symmetry.

I understand your concern. However, without a proper assessment, it would be difficult to determine is there something wrong. It is best that you visit your plastic surgeon for further assessment or ask for a second opinion. Only after a thorough examination, you can get proper recommendations and advice.

One implant has a larger outside pocket which lets it slide over more. This is really not a problem unless it bothers you. The tighter pocket could be loosened or the looser one could be tightened.

You are probably correct on both thoughts. The right breast pocket may be larger and a bit open more laterally allowing the breast to travel towards the armpit The left breast being tighter usually means the capsule is a bit smaller. At 10 months, I double the massages will soften the pocket and implant. If it’s not too tight, then nothing is indicated. If tender or asymmetrical then a revision is indicated

Hi and welcome to our forum!From your photos, I note asymmetry when resting on your back. As you note that the left breast is tight in its pocket, it suggests the development of a minimal-moderate capsular contracture, where the breast "sits up" on the chest wall. When on your back, your breasts will normally fall slightly to the side. If your rib contour is exposed, lateral drift of the implant will have occurred. I do not see it in the photo.Continue followup with your plastic surgeon.Best wishes...
