Hair thinning out around the hairline and wondering how much roughly for a hair transplant to fix this? (photos)

It is easy to get a graft numbers or quotes on surgery fees.  That's good for generalizations.Say 1000 or even 1500 grafts... Say $6000 or $7000BUT THIS IS WRONG!!!What happens if you lose more hair?  You want to live with two triangle shaped hair transplants after you lose all your hair.Even if you don't lose all your hair, if you keep your hair as short as you do in the photo, you will be disappointed with the surgery results.Extreme as the above scenario may be, the point I'm making is you need an exam and a diagnosis.You need a Master Plan.  You also need to know what to expect from each treatment option and have realistic goals.

I’m a board-certified cosmetic surgeon. I have been performing hair

With the onset of hair loss at a younger age and the speed that you are
going, you need something to stabilize your hair loss progression. In the
United States, we have two drugs used for this: minoxidil and finasteride.
Minoxidil is a topical which doesn’t stop hair loss progression but it can
prolong the growth cycle of thinning hair. On the other hand, finasteride
inhibits an enzyme called 5-alpha reductase which is responsible for the
conversion of testosterone to dihydrotestosterone commonly referred to as DHT.

In our practice, we developed a treatment called Hair Regeneration.
This procedure combine platelet-rich plasma (PRP) derived from your own blood
with Acellular matrix. Acellular matrix is a material used for wound healing.
Years ago, it was discovered that this wound healing material, when used for
transplant surgery to help hair grafts and the donor area heal, appeared to
also help hair get thicker. We have created a process, and a predictable and consistent
response where close to 100% of male pattern hair loss patients do respond and get
good results.



We have patients who come from all over the world and we further refined
the system and our understanding of who responds to this treatment. However, it’s
not the perfect solution as we haven’t cured baldness, but the sooner we catch
someone, the better the results are. We’re treating people as young as
18-years-old and see very good results. There’s a small group of patients who
have not responded to the treatment. We re-treated them and they still didn’t
respond, but this is a tiny group so we are still close to a 100% effective
rate for male patients. Some people benefit from a second injection, but for
the vast majority this is a onetime treatment. The procedure is customized to
the individual patient and we follow our patients very closely. We have exceeded
the level of commitment and follow-up of other people who are doing a similar
type of treatment.



We have been bringing Trichostem® Hair Regeneration to patients where
they are. This treatment has been so successful that we have been able to now
scale it and be offered to other areas outside of our two locations in
Manhattan and Long Island. Hair transplant may be an option for you but without
stabilization, you will lose hair. Patients
who have gotten transplantation at your age and reached their early to mid-30s
have only transplanted hair, and don’t have any of their own native hair. They still
look like they don’t have hair which means they didn’t get the hair coverage

While 1000 to 1500 grafts may fill that area nicely-you are only 23 years old and in the beginning stages of your hair loss.
