Lip injections with fillers such as restylane or juvederm ($550/syringe) are so easy to undergo and look very natural. sincerely, david Hansen,MD
Rachel,I perform lip injections on a regular basis. I think you could reach your goals of enhancing the size and fullness of your lips with a dermal filler like Juvederm. If you were my patient I would most likely focus on the sides of your lips since it appears that area is the most deficient. There is a special technique to fill the corners which would most likely provide you a nice upturned full appearance.I hope this was helpful,Dr. Daniel BarrettPlastic and Reconstructive SurgeryBeverly Hills, CA
There are a couple of different ways to achieve fuller lips. Temporary injections work well to achieve fuller, larger lips. The most important thing is to achieve natural appearing results that are balanced with the rest of your face. Please consult with a board certified specialist who can assist you with achieving the results you seek.
You would make an excellent candidate for lip augmentation. Adding volume to the corners of your mouth should be the area of primary attention. Consult with an experienced and expert physician injector.
Lip injections can be used here, and if they are done by skilled injectors they can add some volume to the corners of your mouth which may take care of all of your concerns — with minimal needed in the other parts of the lips. You can have Restylane, Juvederm and Belotero injected into the lips. We have just gotten the FDA approval for what is going to be called Restylane Silk — specifically for the lips. This is what I will be using in many of my lip patients moving forward. Find a board-certified dermatologist or plastic surgeon and let them give you the lips you want.
I like Juvederm for lip augmentation. This is a regular procedure in my office. Pet peeves and pearls are to augment slowly over a few sessions , and never do a full-bodied lip augmentation in one sitting. Inject very slowly in micro amounts as you withdraw. Use ice, and never massage or bite your lips at home, at least for a few weeks. Your mouth will probably not look smaller as a result of lip augmentation. Your "desired" photo seems pretty realistic, though remember, everyone is different anatomically, and so are outcomes from case to case. Best of luck. Daniel Golshani, M.D., Beverly Hills.
There are several options for patients wanting to change the shape of their lips. Whether its to achieve a fuller lip or correct asymmetry, both surgical and non-surgical options exist. The non-surgical approach centers around injectable filling agents. Most common of these are Hyaluronic ac...
I agree with Dr. Waldman's post. I would recommend you do not touch them — someone may only make things worse. You must have great genes.
It appears that your lips look very good after fat grafting and lip lift. I'm not sure when your surgery was. But, if it was fairly recent, you may have some postoperative swelling that will improve over time. Thank you for sharing your photos and concerns. Best wishes.
