Teeth hurt/are very sensitive after ultherapy - is this normal and how long will it take for them to feel normal?

My teeth have always been sensitive. After having ultherapy 4 days ago, my teeth have been extremely sensitive. My teeth and under my jaw (lymph nodes maybe?) have a dull ache. Is this normal?

Hello. Ultherapy, can cause some post treatment discomfort, including teeth or jaw sensitivity. It usually clears within a few weeks. It would be good to contact the doctor who performed the treatment to ensure all is well. I am a board certified dermatologist in Canada and the USA and yet I do all of the Ultherapy treatments in our office, ensuring each patient has the best results possible.

If you are hollow around the teeth area such as the cheeks or lips, then the transducer may have caused some irritation.  We always place gauze on the inside of the mouth to help reduce this issue.  If you are concerned, it is always important to talk to the provider.
