Does tanning before Fraxel result in hyperpigmentation?

I'm planning to do fraxel laser for my stretch marks in 3 weeks. However, this summer i did tanning using tanning beds, last time being a week ago. Is it safe to do fraxel laser on my body in 2-3 weeks? Because I am really afraid of getting hyper pigmentation after the treatment. Also they want me to use a $200 bottle of serum during my treatment. It is kind of expensive to buy a bottle every two weeks I was wondering if it is necessary or if there are cheaper ones.(vivierskin SEEQUEEN 4IDS)

The various companies have done extensive testing to get FDA approval for their equipment. I personally follow their advise on treatment levels and timing.
