Is it safe to have cortisone injected into a scar the same day as having Fraxel done?

My doctor did z-plasty 6 weeks ago for scar revision on my face. He just gave me a cortisone injection immediately following Fraxel, trying to make his revision work look better. Now I'm reading that steroids absolutely should not be used for a significant time frame both before and after having Fraxel done. What could happen? Should I be concerned?

Usually the cortisone injects are way deeper than a resurfacing laser can reach and should be safe to do at the same time.Dr Wayne

Depending on the amount and type of cortisone it is safe to have it injected after the Fraxel laser. Fraxel is a great laser for pigmentation and scar treatments. I treat so many patients with Fraxel and eMatrix for scars and many of these patients need cortisone injections as well as V-Beam at the same time.  Please consult an expert in Fraxel and scar treatments for the best cosmetic results.
