Is it safe to have cortisone injected into a scar the same day as having Fraxel done?

My doctor did z-plasty 6 weeks ago for scar revision on my face. He just gave me a cortisone injection immediately following Fraxel, trying to make his revision work look better. Now I'm reading that steroids absolutely should not be used for a significant time frame both before and after having Fraxel done. What could happen? Should I be concerned?

Volume and contouring of the face can be created with well-placed fillers (Voluma, Radiesse, Bellafill) and Sculptra. Implants or fat are alternatives. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a cosmetic dermatologist. Best, Dr. Emer
