What is the purpose of having subsequent laser treatment(s) in such short time ie. 2 - 4 weeks

I wonder if those quite short period between previous and subsequent treament(s) would disrupt the healing process and actual result of the previous treatment? i just underwent fraxel restore and it left me with redness that might stay for a month but the doctor already advised to undergo 2nd treatment after 1 month. it's for 2 shallow indented scars. should i go for it or wait until the end of the actual result of the 1st treatment?

There is no limitation on how long can wait between lasers, however usually between 2-4 weeks is typical. I recommend following up with your Doctor about the intended timeline and after care. PDT therapy and lasers (ProYellow, Excel V, VBeam) can improve any redness and inflammation. I also recommend skin care with vitamin c, b5 hydrator, silicone based scar gels with growth factors and enzymatic washes with papaya enzyme. Sun protection is essential. I always add microneedling/prp to get more of an outcome. See an expert. Best, Dr. Emer
