How to permanently get rid of seborrheic dermatitis and demodex? (Photos)

Question

I have been suffering with minor seb derm for 4 years and was recently diagnosed with demodex. I performed bloodwork which ruled out lupus. Its been so severe I have basically secluded myself from social activities. Im currently taking flagyl however i don't see a difference at 6 days. Im using tea tree oil and no steroids for the last 2 months. How can i permanently solve this issue? Is there laser treatment or anything else you can recommend in my case? I appreciate your help. Our treatments use combination therapy to improve the epidermis and dermis for most deep scars. The options available for acne scars depend on the character of your scars, in terms of topography and contour. We see atrophic and hypertrophic acne scars, as well as scars that have hypo and hyperpigmentation. We begin each scar evaluation with an assessment of scar quality and subtype. Our main concern is rebuilding collagen and that is why we use a HIDEF protocol that includes combination therapy. Morpheus 8, scar subcision, fibrous release, fractional laser, CO2 laser, Thulium laser, PDL Vbeam laser, and fractional resurfacing can be used in addition to TCA Cross and chemical peels to further improve skin. Patients should start Melarase AM and Melarase PM for active hyperpigmentation. Always begin with a consultation to decide whether early subcision should be started.

Hey there!
I'm guessing you've had seb derm diagnosed by a doctor - sometimes swabs or scrapings can help to assist with the diagnosis. Demodex is a different condition I'm afraid. This is usually rosacea that can be acne type or flushing. Both of them can be resistant to simple treatments and in a lot of cases they cannot be cured finally - but hopefully managed. Antibiotics sometimes need to be taken longer term for a noticeable result, and your doctor may switch you to doxycycline. For flushing, bromonidine gel can help on the day for a few hours if you've got an engagement and wish the flushing to stop temporarily.
