Will a thread lift help soften festoon lines in upper cheeks? (photos)

Question

I have had these lines (what I think are called festoons or tear-trough hollows) since I was young. It is hereditary. I am desperate for non-surgical solutions. Is filler a good idea or would it exasperate the issue? Threadlifts? I have also looked into HIFU, RF, and microneedling. Any input is appreciated. Thank you.

There is no totally reliable treatment for festoons but fillers can make festoons worse and of course are temporary.  Threads are also temporary and unlikely to help.  Skin tightening with laser or radiofrequency microneedling might help but a challenging problem.  I have a firm if midface lift help substantially but have also seen disappointing results with surgery.

Tearhollows hollows and malar festoons f are two entirely different entities. While tear trough hollows can be treated with fillers, Malar festoons cannot.In fact treating festoons with fillers can actually make them worse. So essentially, a proper diagnosis is important and for that, I would recommend that you see an experienced aesthetic physician so as to differentiate between the two. Malar festoons are difficult to treat and require ablative fractional laser treatment or intralesional radiofrequency.

Threading in general is a waste of time and $$$s. It will ONLY lasts a few months at best. I might recommend diluted KyBella injections over multiple sessions expect fee per session at $1,500.
