I had lip and eye fillers done for the first time ever on September 22. I noticed bulbs inside my lips and under my right eye. I went for a follow-up yesterday and was told to keep massaging the area. Is this normal? I feel deformed and really worried.
Answer: One month post treatment These are not anticipated results one month after treatment. Though they will improve over time it may be best to dissolve especially the under eye filler. Be sure to seek treatment from an experienced injector as it looks from the photos that the filler was not placed correctly.

Answer: Lip and tear trough filler The lip filler bumps do tend to improve with some massage. However, the eyelid filler looks overdone and I would consider dissolving this filler. Tear trough filler is a difficult area to fill and should be done by an expert.

Answer: One month post filler Thanks for your question and helpful photos. To me, these do not look like normal expected results and you should probably have the fillers dissolved. The tear troughs are very difficult to fill properly and you will be in the best hands with an oculoplastic surgeon if you want to have that area injected again. Lip fillers are generally easy to inject and place properly. Those nodules inside the lip are abnormal and the filler should not have been injected in that area. Please see an expert, and best of luck.

Answer: Problems after Filler Neither of the problems are "normal," however, both are relatively common when the filler is placed in the wrong place. The under eye filler was placed too high and superficial and, almost certainly, using the wrong filler. The filler there should have been a heavy filler like Juvederm Voluma placed on the bone below the orbital ligament. The filler in the lip was placed too far away from the vermillion edge in the upper lip. The upper lip almost never needs filler where the mass is. I would suggest seeing an expert (who can be hard to find), having the areas dissolved, and going from there.
