Skin necrosis has different phases. Initially it may take different forms depending on what the insult is.Often the epidermis may blister, there may be color changes and often early in the process there will be severe pain. With time the skin turns dark and eventually becomes black. It’s probably better to not worry about things that are potential risks.Personally I’m not a big fan of Kybella and find it inferior to Liposuction by every standard.I have not seen anybody with fat necrosis post pictures on real self or heard of individual cases but I don’t see every post. The most common negative outcome is a lack of results, uneven outcomes and occasionally excessive reaction to the medication causing complete loss of all the fat leaving patients with a skeletonized disfigured appearance. The process is inherently unpredictable and imprecise compared to surgery.Best,Mats Hagstrom MD
