Can I get this result with Kybella? (Photo)

Question

32f with a stubborn pocket of fat under my chin (I’m thin except here).I’m curious if Kybella could give me the submental chin shape shown in the second photo (I’m pulling flesh to the side) and with additional definition along the side of my jaw. If so, how many treatments could I expect? If not, what procedure should I research and consult for?

I would recommend that you look up surgeons who perform liposuction. With liposuction, both the submental area and jawline can be treated to create a well defined jawline.

Hello, Thank you for your question. It is possible for Kybella to remove excess fat from the submental region. However, it will take a few treatments to reach your goals. Typically each session will require at least 3 vials and it is not a one and done procedure. Up to 8 vials are used on some patients over a period of time. With significant neck sagging you would need a facelift / neck lift with muscle tightening (platysmaplasty). Hello, Kybella is a great option for a non surgical treatment that can help with reducing the fat under the chin. We also recommend tightening the skin (once healing is complete) to help lift and tighten the treated area. Kybella typically takes 3 to 5 treatments to work. This is why I've stopped carrying Kybella in my office. I recommend neck liposuction more often then any injectable procedure for the neck now. It provides superior results gives me more control over the area than any injectable. It also costs about the same as what you paid for your first kybella session. The liposuction can be done under local while awake in the office and recovery is about the same as kybella.

No, you'll never get that type of result without surgical intervention. The Photograph demonstrates a recessive chin profile with fat deposits located both above and below the platysma muscle in the neck. Consider placement of the chin implant to augment your Chin forward for better facial balance and proportions. A neck lift procedure can accomplish removal of fat deposits above and below the platysma muscle in the neck which also includes a platysma-plasty to significantly improve the jawline.
