I have a recessed chin and think I want a sliding genioplasty but have a couple questions; 1. My bite is normal but I do have a slight overbite (class 1) and a 2mm overjet. Would it look odd if I did not correct this first? 2. I have not gotten an xray yet so Im not sure, but I plan on getting a 10+ mm advancement. How bad would recovery be for this? How long would it take for most swelling and bruising to go away? 3. The main reason I don’t want a chin implant is because I care about my front profile as well as my side profile and generally before/afters I have seen look better with sliding genioplasties. Is there an actual aesthetic difference between these two surgeries? Or am I just seeing bad examples?
