Do I need a chin/neck lift or jaw line work? (Photos)

This is my expertise and a huge portion of my practice. Asymmetry is normal and expected. Buccal fat pad gives slimming not symmetry. Masseter botox will make you slimmer and make the jawline more loose. Fillers help give shaping and contouring. If you want perfect or close to perfect symmetry you need maxillofacial surgery or implants customized. I suggest seeing an expert to go through all options. Most of my younger clients use fillers to give them shaping especially on the cheeks, jawline, and chin which make the face look more slim and tight; and threads such as PDO or Instalift can build collagen and support the facial shaping and skin looseness over time, slowing down the aging process and given the face a more “snatched” look; and morpheus8 or PiXel8 deep microneedling RF can tighten crepe skin especially on the neck and jawline and is great for long term tightening of the full face, neck and chest; its often used to give the face a slimmer more sculpted look because it tightens the skin and gives lift. an early face lift can be performed as well even in younger clients if they want a different facial shape, maxillofacial surgery with bone breaking or shaving can also be done. For facial slimming a combination of treatments are always needed. Options include: 1. Buccal fat pad removal to reduce fat on the lower face 2. Based on the pictures you are good candidate for chin liposuction to improve your chin and jaws line. I would suggest to be treated by board certified plastic surgeon with experience in this procedure, to get the best desired results.

it is hard to tell for sure without an examination. Based on your photo, it looks like you would benefit from chin liposuction. If you are considering surgery, I would suggest you consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination, you will get more information and recommendations.

Thank you for the question. The first rule is to be comfortable with the doctor and to be on the same page. If not, seek a second or third consultation. From the photo you could benefit from sub mental and sub-mandibular liposuction. I also feel you may benefit from a small augmentation of the anterior jawline/chin.

From the one photograph presented you have an underdeveloped mandible bone for which a chin implant can significantly improve. Placement of a chin implant is performed through a small incision underneath the chin to augment the chin forward for better structural support for the soft tissues in the neck. Liposuction can only remove fat deposits above the platysma muscle, and will only be minimally effective. You definitely appear to have fat deposits below the platysma muscle which is going to require a necklift procedure to remove that compartment of fat. A platysma-plasty is then performed to significantly improve the jawline. No skin removal is required. Both a necklift and a chin implant are complementary to each other to get significant improvement in your Jawline. The procedure takes approximately an hour and a half under general anesthesia as an outpatient procedure, and then anticipate two weeks of visible bruising and swelling

Bone structure is the primary cause for how your Jawline and neck contours. In other words your fat distribution is completely normal and the lack of definition and double chin is primarily bone related.

That said, the easiest way to treat this is with well done Liposuction.

Augmenting your chin is a balancing act between getting more projected looking man the ball and not creating too much of a labiomental angle.

Augmentation of the chin is best done with fillers, implants or sliding genioplasty.

Fat transfer tends to not be particularly good for this at least in my experience.

You have an underdeveloped lower jaw which reduces the 'length/distance' from the throat to the chin point. This emphasizes any 'fullness. The ideal approach is a genioplasty which 'stretches' the area under the chin by lengthening the muscle (just as it does when you 'stick out your jaw'). As well, you may choose some liposuction in addition. You should consider the 'structure' first ie chin; rather than the 'soft tissue' only, since the shortened distance is the main issue.
