Is one of these devices more superior than the other. When would you use one over the other? One of my local doctors uses Morpheus 8 and the other uses Sylfirm X. One doctor says the sylfirm is less painful and less downtown. I am looking for firmer skin with less fine lines and wrinkles. thanks!
Answer: Morpheus8 vs SylfirmX I have worked with many different lasers, radiofrequency and microneedling devices in my practice over the years and have spent millions on equipment to find the ultimate device that delivers the best results, minimal downtime and low risk of complications and one that would work on all skin types. At this time, I would say that the RF microneedling technology is the only one that checks all the boxes. Of the RF microneedling devices on the market, Inmode (makers of Morpheus8) and Benev (makers of SylfirmX) seem to have invested the most research and engineering into their devices. Of the two, I have to say SylfirmX wins hands down. The only issue I have with SylfirmX is that they market it as being painless, which is only partially true because it is painless at the lower settings, and you do see surprisingly good results with the low settings, but if you really want the wow effects, you need to set the settings higher. At the higher setting it is spicy! Having said that, even at the high settings, SylfirmX treatments are much less painful than any of the other devices and the results are consistently better. This is the "go to" device for face and body rejuvenation in my practice.

Answer: Morpheus with fractional resurfacing Morpheus 8 is a non-invasive skin and soft tissue tightening treatment that is consistently amazing in our patients. We use the Morpheus to exact fractional induced RF into the skin or tissue in order to tighten collagen and stimulate contraction of the tissue. For acne scars, it is quite useful to build collagen in patients who have atrophic scars but is not very productive for ice-pick scars which require TCA Cross. For tissue tightening, Morpheus is ideal for the face and neck and we often combine it with CO2 laser or Ultherapy to further enhance results. Chemical peels and skin resurfacing should be done at least 5 to 7 days after, but can be performed earlier, depending on treatment severity. Avoid exfoliating skin treatments before Morpheus and expect a period of 2-4 weeks for skin contraction to set in. Best, Dr. Karamanoukian Realself100 Surgeon
