I just got radiesse in my cheeks 2 weeks ago and I need a touch up. But now I am at a location where I cannot get radiesse and can only get HA products like perlane, juvederm ultra and voluma. Will putting HA fillers after I got non-HA fillers increase the possibility of a reaction? Since I heard it mixing fillers may encourage seeding of bacteria. Is it safe?
Answer: Mixing different fillers on the face HA and stimulatory fillers often go hand in hand to improve superficial and deep soft tissue in the face. Mixing of fillers is commonplace and should not pose any viable problem. Best, Dr. Karamanoukian Los Angeles

Answer: Mixing Juvederm, Restylane, Sculptra or Other Fillers At Same Time As Radiesse Injections Is Safe I often frequently injecting multiple filler types in the same session to contour and shape the face and other parts of the body. What matters most is who is doing the injecting. It is important to find someone with experience in all the filler types and who uses a cannula for injection of larger areas as it limits complications and can improve contouring. Best, Dr. Emer.

Answer: Mixing Fillers Is Fine & Can Even Be Done In The Same Treatment Session Mixing fillers and volumizing fillers in one treatment session has become routine these days among expert injectors. I frequently do this. When a robust volumizing filler, such as Radiesse or Voluma XC, is injected deeply for replacing lost volume (deep support volumetry) and another lighter filler, such as Belotero Balance or Restylane Silk, is immediately afterward used above it to fill superficial, etched-in lines, the technique is known as the "sandwich technique." So, certainly if we can inject different fillers at the same time, two weeks between treatments is perfectly fine

Answer: Adding an HA filler to an area where Radiesse was placed is fine This is done all the time. There is no need for worrying about increased infection. At the current time, I believe there are better choices available than Radiesse - Voluma, Sculptra, Perlane.

Answer: Using different types of fillers together Using different types of filers together is fine. Usually we recommend Radiese first as it's placed deeper in the skin. Then an HA filler can be placed over it. I have done this numerous times with no issues. As long as you see a well-trained physician injector you should be just fine. There is no increased risk of bacteria or issues of reaction between the fillers.
