A sliding genioplasty will increase the vertical height of your chin as well as its horizontal projection. It will not, however, improve the result of your jawline or the appearance of your cheeks. Jutting your jaw forward, while replicating the effect of the chin change, creates other facial changes that an isolated sliding genioplasty can not.

Dear Nish234, You do have a slightly weak chin and this can be enhanced simply with a small chin implant placed in with a small incision under the chin versus a genioplasty which is a very involved procedure with a long recovery period. In many male patients with a weak chin they present with full lower cheeks and with this combination I prefer to also perform a buccal fat pad reduction and some liposculpting under the chin.
