Clubbing/ going out and drinking 2 weeks post op?

Dear jonnyboy13,Do not go to the club and do not consume alcohol two weeks post op. Your Rhinoplasty is an investment and you want to experience the best results possible. Also, it is dangerous to mix your pain medications with any alcohol.Keep in mind that the final result of the nasal surgery is not achieved until up to one year following the procedure. Remain patient and follow the healing plans as closely as you can.

Thank you for your clinical post and this is a common
question when patients can resume normal social activities following surgery
particularly septorhinoplasty. If your
septorhinoplasty include an osteotomy or breaking of the bones including
stabilization of the cartilaginous and soft tissues at the tip, it is very
important that you avoid any trauma.
Clearly you could go out to a club and socialize, but avoid
circumstances where you might get inadvertently traumatized as you have
invested significantly in the long-term appearance of your nasal facial balance
and proportion and early trauma even a gentle nudge or an elbow on a dance
floor can cause significant derangement of your surgery.

Use your common sense and minimize alcohol consumption that
will increase swelling and avoid any traumatic situations and you should be
able to enjoy some of the earlier results of your nasal facial surgery.

Please also consult with your certified nose surgeon to
ensure that they are in agreement with this approach.
