I am a 19 year old male interested in fixing my belly button that has been deformed since birth, based on the picture what kind of surgery/treatment and how severe of a procedure would be required to make my belly button look normal. A cost estimate would be great too.

Hello,Based on your photo you may have an umbilical hernia.  If you have insurance this may be a covered procedure.  Out of pocket the cost will vary by surgeon and region.  Whether through insurance or out of pocket the hernia should be repaired and the cosmesis can be improved at the same time.  Seek out a consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon for an in person examination and more information on your options.Best of Luck!Dr. Rednam

From the picture it looks like you have an umbilical hernia.  This can be repaired in a few different ways and is very straight forward.  I recommend that you see a surgeon in your area in person for proper evaluation.
