I seem to have Vbeam swelling. How long should this last?

I have round circles after Vbeam treatment. Seem to be swollen. Done 2 days ago Dr says this will subside on its own. Dr says it's inflammation. Use ice and a cortisone cream? How long should swelling last? And is this normal? Don't know the exact setting of Vbeam but ..bruise setting >>>

It is not unusual to have swelling and discoloration after a V beam treatment.  These issues normally resolve completely over time, but it can take a week or so for some people.  If you feel things are not improving, you should contact the physician who treated you.

Thank you for your question and I appreciate your concern. Rest assured it is quite common to experience swelling after a Vbeam treatment. Most patients will see this side effect subside within about one week. Ice can be a good option for minimizing swelling and discomfort, but you should see improvement even without this intervention. If the swelling does not subside within a couple of weeks, I would schedule a follow up with your doctor for further assessment.
