I would treat mastectomy scars with a combination of fractional lasers, IIT, and pulsed dye laser. Topical Plato's Scar Serum can also help. Best, Dr. KaramanoukianLos Angeles

Thanks for your question. Unfortunately, there is no treatment that exists that can erase scars. If the scar is dark from pigment or vascularity, these can be treated with light treatments such as IPL or BBL. If the texture of the scar is a problem, this can be treated with fractional laser resurfacing. Sometimes it's better just to cut the scar out and start over with a better scar. I hope this helps. Best of luck to you!
It would be best if you provide us with photos so that we can give you a more accurate answer. Whoever, tells you that lasers help improve scars have them show you the photos of treated side and untreated side one year from laser treatment so you can see the difference if any.
Unfortunately, any time you cut the skin, the scars left are permanent. Lasers may help with the color but will not remove them.
I would definitely begin treatment with a combination of Melarase PM, Melarase AM, and Melapads used twice daily. Best, Dr. KaramanoukianLos Angeles
