Is it normal to have swelling between nose and lips? (photo)

i did 6 inejctions yesterday, 3 and 3 on each side of my upper lip, my lip balance seems to be really good but my concerne is that its swollowed between nose and upper lip(on the sides of the mouth) . is it normal and how long it will take to recocer? Im doing icepacks like 5 times a day! thank you

Swelling is a common side effect of lip injections and can last approx. 2 weeks. You are doing the right thing by applying cold compresses, 10 mins several times a day. Sleep with your head slightly elevated. If you have further concerns visit your injector to be assessed. All the best,

Restylane is a great facial injection but one of the side effects is that it can give you swelling for a few days up until two weeks after the injections.  I would ice the area and massage any area that seems swollen.

Swelling is an expected side effect that can last a few days after any filler  injection. Lips tend to swell more than cheeks.  If bruising occurs swelling can last up to a week. Be patient. Ice the areas as often as possible.  Taking arnica may also speed up resolution of bruising and swelling.

It is normal to have some swelling , particularly after multiple injections.  Iing is helpful as you are doing. Ask your injector for any other tips on how to minmiize swelling. In our practice we use Arnika forte to help with swelling.

You should expect some swelling from fillers for a couple of days. It tends to be worst the evening of your injections or the next day. Ice helps. Also, try to keep your head elevated above your heart- sleep with your head elevated. This will help minimize swelling. It will definitely get better.

It is normal to have swelling after filler injections for a few days. There is an immediate response by the body just relating to the multiple needle sticks which decreases over the first day, but then some swelling persists a few days after. It is difficult to tell from the photo, but I tell my patients that it takes about a week to see the final results from filler, to make sure swelling has subsided. Ice helps for the first day or two. If you have any questions at that point, you should return to the physician who did the injections and they can evaluate you in person. You should also return to your physician if the swelling gets worse, discolorations occur, or pain worsens.Best of luck
