Is there an eyelift that lifts the upper outer corners of the eyelid?

Hello, When I lift up the outer corners of my upper eyelids I really like the way it looks. Is there a type of surgery that does this? Is it a type of ptosis correction? Thank you!

I personally do not perform this operation but I do know the delicacy of the lower lids can create asymmetries that can be aesthetically quite displeasing. Proceed with great caution before pursuing this type of surgery.

Best to seek in person consultation.  You may be referring to lifting the corner of the eyebrow, rather than the eyelid, in which case a lateral brow lift is helpful.  If you are referring to the lower eyelid, then a different procedure may be necessary. See an oculoplastic specialist.

As always, it is difficult to say without seeing someone in person.  If your eyelid rim is low and hangs across your black pupil, then you may have eyelid ptosis.  This would require an examination and consultation with plastic surgeon.  However,  you may be talking about how your eyebrow hangs down and by elevating it with your finger, it makes your eye appear more open. There are non surgical ways of elevating the brow with botox or ultherapy.  If it is more dramatic then an endoscopic surgery may be necessary. Simple answer is that yes, if you combine the eyelid surgery with canthoplasty you can raise the outer conner of the eye, but this surgery might not be right for you. or by doing face lift you might achieve some raise in the corner of the eye. you need to see an experienced board certified plastic surgeon to evaluate you face and answer you questions.Best,Ali Totonchi M.D.

The outer corner of the eyelid can be repositioned upward by canthal tightening procedure (canthoplasty) during which the lower eyelid is secured in a higher position. Canthoplasty may also be combined with a mid-cheek lift procedure. Both procedures can be added to a facelift, but neither one them is part of a regular facelift procedure.

Correcting the upper eyelids depends on the position of the eyelids and the status of the eyelid skin.  Excess skin can be addressed with blepharoplasty.  If the eyelids are lower due to a eyelid muscle problem, a ptosis correction procedure may be required.  Overall, it requires a thorough physical examination. Please consult a board certified plastic surgeon who is experienced an oculoplastic surgery.  The only way to structurally lift the outer corner of the lower eyelids is a sophisticated procedure called a canthoplasty or canthopexy.This is an excellent procedure when performed by a very experienced eyelid surgeon.  No nonsurgical technique will achieve lifting of the outer corner of the eyelids.Please consult a board certified plastic surgeons who are very experienced in eyelid surgery and specifically asked them about a canthopexy or canthoplasty.
