Ialways put small white surgical tapes over the incision, called steri-strips,and even change them at 2 weeks, leaving them on another week or two.The tapes help to reinforce the incisionwhile it’s healing, and I think it leads to better scar formation than if youdidn’t use them.
Many times surgeons will use steri-strips or another method of taping an incisioni as it heals. I see no reason for you to doubt your surgeon's advice.
Many surgeons tape incisions for varying lengths of time. Your surgeons advice is not out of the norm. All the best.
Taping of the incisions for more than 2 weeks after surgery is not uncommon. If applied correctly, the tape can help take some of the tension off the scar and help the healing. I often have my patient use tape for 4-6 weeks after surgery and then start applying a silicone based scar product to assist with the maturing process of the scar. Most importantly, follow your surgeon's directions. He/she knows you best.
Nipple soreness is not unusual 2 weeks after breast augmentation. I would suggest you follow the advice of your surgeon as to when you should lay on your belly and side and ride a motorcycle.

Taping of incisions and the breast are part of what is termed the "art of medicine". Many of us do it. This is a good question as for me and my practice, I have gone from taping all incisions to improve the scar to taping few incisions, but taping the breasts for revisions only...
If the color changes are along your incision, you should see your surgeon for further recommendations. If they are distant from the incision, it shouldn't be anything serious but always best to ask your surgeon for thoughts as to what it could be.
Thank you for your inquiry about bruising after your breast augmentation.Bruising moves down after surgery. From the breast it will move to the belly and continue downward, as it fades. This is a gravity effect. It will subside. If it is of concern, contact your plastic surgeon before you return...
Always inform your surgeon. Melatonin is fine to take before any cosmetic surgery and I would not worry about it. Good luck
