Thank you for your question. We are unaware of any direct head to head studies. Plastic Surgeons have been using silicone sheeting for years. Our office likes BioCorneum very much and recommends it to patients like yourself with scars. It is a silicone base, with additional medicine. We believe that it helps get good results in our incisional lines. We see it as continuing the care of the patient's wounds. We usually start it at 3 seeks post procedure. It is medical grade and supposed to be found only in a Physician's office or hospital. Please call with questions.
