Are the injections given before Cellulaze the WORST of it?

I am seriously considering Cellulaze for stubborn cellulite on my inside upper arms, abs, butt, and thighs. I am 58, 5'8" and have maintained a steady weight of 130 for years. I also work out moderately nearly every day, and eat very healthy, so I don't think I'm going to get rid of cellulite through a diet/lifestyle change. After spending all afternoon reading the reviews posted here on Cellulaze, the one thing that leaps out at me is the excruciating PAIN mentioned as the patients get all shot up before the procedure. Can one have Cellulaze under general anesthesia? And if one has to be AWAKE during these horrible injections (of lidocaine, anesthetic, and antibiotic, I'm guessing) is there ANY topical numbing cream applied or ANY relief for this kind of discomfort?I would love to hear from anyone out there who has had - in particular - the upper arms and abs done, as I have read that these areas can be excruciating to shoot up and have Cellulaze done on. Having had Vaser High Definition Lipo (a form of ultrasound lipo treatment) I can vouch for the PAIN involved in recovery: weeks of sensitivity, and about 3 years till I regained a normal sensation in the areas treated. What is the recovery like for upper arms and abs in terms of results, pain, and satisfaction with the procedure?
