Implant never dropped after BA, why? Am I wrong? 5 months post op, 350cc under muscle. (photos)

Dear alubloba,Dropping of implants is part of the healing process and this occurs after the tissues surrounding the implants slowly relax, allowing the implants to settle into their final position. It can take about four to six months for the implant to drop down to their final position.I understand that you are worried about your implants are not dropping as expected. Please do allow some time for the healing process to occur. If after six months, you are not satisfied with the appearance of your breast, you can visit your plastic surgeon and discuss your concerns.Daniel Barrett, MD

with time, regardless of what type implant was used.  Smooth round implants will settle more, plain and simple.  For  the size you used, your concerns are appreciable.  Talk to your surgeon about what you can do at this point (strapping can still work, though much less likely to be successful) to help you achieve the look you want and start getting acquainted with your surgeon's revision policy as you may need it if you wish to have a more natural look (less fullness on top).

Your implants have one o several normal position. It looks ok. But any case if you wish a lower position, it is ok too. But that needs surgical management. on the other hand, if you feel your boobs too hard, then your surgeon will need to evaluate if you are doing a capsular contraction. 

Hello. Thank you for your question and for including photos. I am sorry you seem frustrated with your results. I do appreciate in your photos that you have more upper pole fullness and lack of the more natural teardrop that is expected after implants do indeed 'drop'. This should have happened by this time. Without knowing implant style and other factors, it is difficult to determine why this did not occur in your case. That your implants seem abnormally firm and it is uncomfortable to position your self on your stomach is also not entirely normal by this time. It would be unusual to have capsular contractures on both breasts this soon but that is one thing that could explain the issues you're dealing with. An MRI would prove the integrity of your implants but little else. Your surgeon should be able to make some recommendations after examining you.
