Stabbing/shooting pain and 'pop' in left breast after tight hug

Thank you for your question.The fact that your surgeon examine you and did not find anything is a good thing. Maybe the hug disrupted some internal sutures and that is why you are having the pain at this point.  It can take a while for things to go back to normal after surgery, then when there is a small set back it will delay things further. I would keep an eye on everything and if there is no change in the next 2 weeks, discuss the issue further with your surgeon.

It would be extremely unlikely to get a capsular contracture this early on.  Asymmetrical pain can be related to nerves recovering and isn't always associated with something "wrong".  However, you should be checked regularly over the next while by your surgeon to ensure that all is OK.  Take care

Going into to see your Plastic Surgeon for an evaluation was the best thing you could do. If they did not feel like anything was at risk this should set your mind at ease. The sharp shooting pains you are having could be nerve related, which is very common after surgery, especially if you are still experiencing some numbness in your breast. I'm sure your plastic surgeon will have you back in to follow up with you and if you have further concerns bring those to their attention. Good luck to you in your recovery!

Thank you for your quesion.It is hard to know just from your history what exactly is going on. If your PS has examined and said that all is well, that should be reassuring. If the pain persists/ gets worse, definitely go back and see your PS. You may need some imaging (either ultrasound or MRI) to make sure nothing untoward is happening with the implant. It doesn't sound like CC.Try taking some over the counter NSAIDS (check with you pharmacist that you don't have any contra-indications). If may be you have traumatised the area a little, in which case the pain and discomfort should subside with time.I hope this helps.
