Did I damage my rhinoplasty results?

Question

Hello. I am 9 days post rhinoplasty today. Today while I was outdoors an insect fell on my nose and I acted instinctively by trying swipe it off and I hit my nose with my palm accidently (not too strong but not just a pat on the nose either). My nose seems to be the tinniest bit more swollen on the side that I hit it on. Other than that and a little bit of a throbbing sensation after the hit I didn't notice anything wrong. Should I be worried about my results?

If you are to see your surgeon soon for a follow up, you should address this issue and have them examine your nose. Thank you for your question. I would recommend seeing your surgeon just to make sure everything is ok. I think you should be fine but your surgeon knows what he/she did during surgery and would be the best person to advise you. Best of luck to you.

Hello Alisa994,Trauma to the nose 9 days out from a rhinoplasty is always a risk for affecting the result.  it is best to follow up with your surgeon to evaluate the area and determine if any damage was done and if any intervention is needed. I hope this helps and good luck.
