Hello, I'm 27 and want to do something regarding my side appearance. I have a round face which always made me look heavier than I actually am (5'7, 140lbs). I tend to look completely different on pictures when they were taken from my side, since I was a child. So doing some operations about it is something I always thought about, but now I am mentally and financially ready to fullfil this wish. Whenever I look for some experiences it's mostly about the nose, which in my position is not the case.

Thank you for your question and photo. While it is impossible to make a full assessment based on a single image, it appears you may have a recessive chin with a bit of submental fat underneath. If this is indeed the case, you might benefit most from some liposuction to remove the submental fat and a chin implant to enhance the projection of the chin and definition along the jawline. We need a proper profile picture standing up straight with your head and a neutral position.

Still, even before seeing your picture I already knew that your primary problem is an under developed Mandible in relationship to your maxilla.

I suggest talking to some oral surgeons in your area as well as board-certified plastic surgeons. Treatment options may include a sliding genioplasty, chin implant or potentially the use of fillers.

To treat the primary problem requires a treatment that addresses the underlying bone structure.
