What treatment do I need? I’ve been told browlift, forehead lift, and eyelid surgery. I plan to get Botox on my “11” lines. I’m afraid of the long-term effects and cost of fillers. I can’t imagine going for filler for the next 50 years. Please advise…what would make the most impact?
Answer: Facial Sculpting with Fillers | Brow Ptosis | Browlift | Upper Blepharoplasty | Eyelid Lift Hello and thank you for your question. A formal evaluation would be needed to determine the best treatment. There are both surgical and non-surgical options to correct this, depending on your exact situation. For less significant issues, there are nonsurgical treatments: To give the eyebrows a nice lift, we use injectable fillers to improve the eyebrow, upper eye, forehead and temple. A filler is placed on the bone and in the fat pads of these areas to contour and lift without it looking overdone. We use cannulas to limit pain and swelling. Surgery (browlift and/or upper blepharoplasty) is a great option for more significant improvement- for example if there is more substantial eyebrow drooping. I suggest getting a consultation with an experienced cosmetic dermatologist and facial sculpting expert, or an aesthetic facial plastic surgeon like Dr. Donald Groves; we are both located right here in Los Angeles. Best, Dr. Emer

Answer: Browlift You are an excellent candidate for a frontal browlift. The hairline will be lowered, the excess forehead skin will be removed and the eyebrows will be elevated. This will also help the eyelid skin. You may also benefit from an upper and lower blepharoplasty at the same time. Best Wishes, Gary Horndeski, M.D.

Answer: Brow Lift Hello, hope you are well. Thank you for posting your photo and questions. A brow lift is a great option to elevate the brows, making the eyes appear more 'open' and less tired. This may obviate the need for any upper eyelid surgery, but an upper blepharoplasty would be the other consideration. I think you should have an in-person consultation so that you can learn about the procedures, and find out what the expectations in terms of outcome would be. Best,Dr. Tower

Answer: Do I need a brow lift? You only have a small amount of eyebrow ptosis on your left eyebrow. If the position of your eyebrows bothers you a lot, then consider a brow lift procedure. Very important not to get over-elevated because you'll look permanently surprised. One option would be to just perform your upper eyelid surgery to make your eyelids look more symmetrical, which can be done under local anesthesia as an outpatient procedure. If the position of your eyebrow still bothers you several months after the eyelid surgery, then consider a brow lift.
