Can and do I need a belly button revision? (Photo)

Your picture shows both the importance of paying close attention to repairing the belly button and the possibility that an unattractive scar can result no matter what is done. Luckily, there are many revision/repair options available. If the laser does not fix the problem, I would pursue these with your surgeon. An attractive belly button is  extremely variable among patients.  I believe that if you  find it unatractive that it could be revised to lessen the  bull's eye appearance. There are many options which your PS can discuss. Before doing any revision, allow the area to heal thoroughly, at least 3-6 months from the time of your  surgery. There can be  significant changes in the  shape  over the healing period. I wish you well !

Thank you for your question and photograph. Complete your laser treatments to reduce pigmentation and redness of your scar. Wait until UR6 to 12 months postop. Your belly button can be revised by tightening the belly button stalk to the fascia in an attempt to create an inny.
