What facial piercings can I have two years after a rhinoplasty?

I'm almost 20 i haven't had anymore surgeries for years. I assume they're done with my mouth & I haven't had any problems. I want a tongue piercing and a septum or regular nose piercing. But I want to make sure i wont have problems. I believe I've had all the surgeries needed. It's been more than two years and i haven't heard anything from doctors saying i need more.

Thank you for your question. After rhinoplasty surgery, the cartilage and overall structure of your nose will be softer. Therefore, getting a piercing can cause damage. It is recommended for patients to wait at least 3 months before they consider getting a piercing. Your surgeon needs to confirm that your healing process is complete and your swelling is completely subsided. In your case, 2 years have passed so you should be ok to get your nose pierced but I would recommend you consult with your surgeon as well.  Good luck.

Thank you for your question!  The only piercings where the  history of your rhinoplasty is important is the septum and the nostrils. You should talk to your rhinoplasty surgeon regarding these piercings and listen to his/her advice. All the best!
